Ève Péclet
Ève Péclet's career has been built on her commitment to the values of justice, inclusion and equality. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to serving her community.
Ève is actively involved in politics and served as a Member of Parliament from 2011 to 2015. This role led her to sit on the Human Rights Subcommittee, the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Justice Committee of the Parliament of Canada. Thanks to this experience, she has acquired in-depth knowledge of human rights issues, both in Canada and internationally. In particular, she has worked on important issues such as the use of rape as a weapon of war in armed conflict zones, respect for human rights by Canadian companies abroad, and access to justice.
For many years, she worked with victims of domestic and sexual violence, as well as in housing law.
Today, Ève works at the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse, where she handles cases related to discrimination and racial profiling.
She is also very active in the legal community, volunteering her time on a number of access to justice initiatives, including working with Pro Bono Students Canada and the YWCA Legal Clinic.
Dedicated to defending the vulnerable and ensuring access to justice, Ève Péclet is an experienced lawyer, dedicated to defending the underprivileged and giving them a voice. She is committed to continuing this work in Parliament on behalf of the people of Outremont.
